Architect Frank Gehry has designed a new museum for the Foundation Louis Vuitton. Scheduled to open autumn of 2014, the building is located in Paris and will house both temporary exhibitions and a permanent collection of modern and contemporary artwork.
Gehry is known for his structures that defy boxiness and straight lines. The curves and fluid shapes of Gehry’s designs have lent his name a reputation as one whose buildings are nearly large-scale sculptures. The surprising shapes of these structures are not without their flaws. It has been widely reported that several Gehry structures have acquired leaks and structural problems.
